Peace of Middx

Whereas it is discovered by the Calendar
delivered into this Court by the Keeper of his
Majestys Goal of New Prison at Clerkenwell in
this County of Prisoners comitted to the said Prison
that Samuel Newton< no role > Esquire one of the Justices of
the Peace of the said County did on the Thirty first day
of October last by a Comittment under his hand and
Seale comitt one Edward Loyd< no role > to the custody of the
Keeper of the said Prison for violently assaulting
and knocking down Mary Baxter< no role > Adams in the
Night time and robbing her of two Shillings in Silver
and brass, to be there safely kept untill further
Examination, And that the said Samuel Newton< no role >
did on the first day of November now last by
writing under his hand and Seale discharge
the said Edward Loyd< no role > out of the custody of the
Keeper of the said Prison which this Court doth
think to be illegall And Whereas it is now
charged against the said Mr. Newton that he granted
his Warrant to apprehend one Sarah Roper< no role > for
being Accessary to a Felony And did afterwards
by writing under his hand and Seale bearing
date the Sixteenth day of November last
Supersede the Execution of the said Warrant
Suggesting in the said Supersedeas that the said
Sarah Roper< no role > had on the said Sixteenth day of
November given sufficient Sureties before him
for her presonall appearance at the next Generall
Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden for this
County at Hicks hall to answer for the said Offence
Whereas it is manifest that the said Sarah Roper< no role > had
not at that time given any such Sureties For that it
