at Eighty Pounds per Annum, allowing to the said Mrs.
Seymour the further Sume of One Guinea P Sessions
for her Assistance in provideing Dinners for the
Justices of the Peace at Hicks hall and at his
own Charge defraying the Expences of such Dinners,
paying Servants Wages and Provideing Linnen and
other accomodations, the said Geary also alledging
that he hath not only performed the said Contract
but hath paid severall considerable Sumes of
Money for Law Charges on Mrs. Seymours accompt
in getting her possession of the Cryers Place and
on other Accompts, to which Comittee of Justices
It was also by the said Order referred to Report
the truth of the Premisses unto this Court Together
with their Opinions therein, And if they found the
said Geary aggrieved, in what manner he ought
to be redressed) The said Comittee of Justices have
by their said Report (inter al) certifyed unto
this Court that they convened before them the
said Geary and Mrs. Seymour, and haveing perused
and considered the written Agreement therein
mentioned made between them on the Fifth day
of January 1715 Did observe that the same was
not, as alledged by the said Geary, to Continue for
so long a time as the said Mrs. Seymour should
enjoy the Office of Cryer and House keeper but
expressly so long as both Parties Should agree,
And that at or soon after the expiration of the first
Year after the makeing thereof Mrs. Seymour did
depart from the same and demanded other Terms
and a greater Rent (to witt) One hundred pounds
per Annum of the said Geary which he Complyed
with (by his Wife who, it appeared, Usually transacted
those Affairs for him) and the said new paroll
Agreement was Executed on both parts for that
Year, and the like hath been renewed & executed
