Journeymen Smiths Society he worked with Aaron Hale< no role > (his
prosecutor ) and being invited by the Journeymen to belong to
the Society he accordingly did under an idea that Journeyn.
Smiths ought not to work longer than Journeymn. of other
Trades by which means he was unfortunately deluded
into the Conspiracy for which he stands Convicted And
this Deponent further saith that having a prospect of
succeding if he went into business for himself this Depot.
quitted the service of the said Aaron Hale< no role > and commenced
a Master Smith and having ever since continued a
Master Smith this Deponent did not offer to work
again for the sd. Aaron Hale< no role > But this Deponent
being desirous of doing all in his power to prevent
all Conspiracies of the like nature) this Deponent and
the other Deponent John Rawlins< no role > did sign and caused
to be inserted in the Daily advertiser and Morning
post an Advertisemt. in the words & [..] ures or to
the effect following Vizt. Smiths We John Rawlins< no role >
"of [mark] No. 13 Comomile Street London Smith and Benjamin
"Eggers
< no role > of Goodmans Yard Goodmans fields in the County
"of Middlesex Smith having been Convicted of a Conspiracy
"to lessen the usual time of work in our Trade one hour
"in each day are convinced of and sorry and sensible
"for our Errors and have effectually corrected them, and
"we do make this public acknowledgement in hopes
"that it will have the desired office on all Journeymen
"Smiths and induce such of them as have been Guilty of
"any thing similar to correct themselves immediately and
"all the rest of them to do the likeThe mark of [mark]

John Rawlins< no role > and Benjamin Eggers< no role > severally say that
they have been well informed and verily believe that the
Society of Journeymen Smiths was broken up and totally
dissolved
