Of tenamn and therein Clerks respectively Five Pounds
Seven shillings and Six Pence with each of such
Briefs and this Deponent also delivered to Mr. Garrow
another Brief for the said Prosecutn. and paid to
him and his Clerk Four Pounds Six shillings and
Six pence And this Deponent Saith from the delay
of the said Defendants in making such Motion to
putt off it was as this Deponent verily believes
Actually necessary to deliver to the said Councel
their respective Briefs which Contain Twenty
eight Brief Streets or there abouts And this Deponent
Saith he requested of the Agent of the said Defendants
to make the Motion to putt off the Tryal pursuants
to their Notice on Saturday last and informed him
if it was not made he should deliver Briefs
and altho he then Shewed to this Deponent the
Affidavit made forth at purpose he refused to
cause such Motion to be then made And this
Deponent from that Circumstance thought and
verily believed it to be Some Mannere of the Defendants
to come into Try when the said Prosecutor was not
prepared and which this Deponent believes was
the Intent of the Defendants in delaying or keeping back
and this Deponent paid the said Thomas Sambridge< no role > One Guinea for his
their Motion Attendance on the said Supena
