The Information of James Pretty< no role > of the Bank of
England Pay Clerk taken before me this 7th. day
of December 1786

Who being upon Oath saith that on Monday last between
three and four oClock in the afternoon a person now present
who calls himself James Barnard< no role > came to this Informant
at the Bank of England and produced to him a £300 Bank
Note No. 376 dated the 21st. of November 1786 and also a
£200 Bank Note No. 5944 dated the 6th, of November 1786
and requested Smaller Notes for them which he gave him
