The joint [..] d several Informations of John Stubley< no role > of
the Steel Yard London Labourer John Peaison< no role > of Cousins
Lane London< no role > Bull Porter< no role > , and Edward Hanson< no role > of Botolph Lane
London Bull Porter< no role > who being on Oath severally say as
follows and first this Informant John Stubley< no role > for himself
saith that being in the Steel Yard Yesterday he saw Richard
Kirkham the< no role > Prisoner now under Examination walking
in there, and did not perceive [..] he had then any
thing in his Hand, says that he said him go into the pass age to a Ware house
then next to which he hath heard & believes some Indigo was
missed out of says that he afterwards saw the said
prisoner walking with the bundle of Indigo as the
same is now produced, says that this informant asked him
what he had got in his apron to which he replied that
he had got a few Coals, says the prisoner refused to cash
this Informant see what was in his Apron, but he
this Informant appearing determined to see what he
had, at length the said Richard Kirkham< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. put the parcel
on the Ground and as soon as he knew what was in the
[..] his Custody and
said prisoner, and this Informant John Person< no role > says
That he has examined the said Indigo and knows it to be
of the Value of four Pounds and upwards and the property
of Messrs. Paul Amsinck George William< no role > Soltace
Merchants and Copartners And this Informant Edward
Hamson for himself saith that he also known the said
Indigo now Produced to be the Property of the said
Amsinck & Soltan , says that he and his partners have
some Indigo of the said Amsinck & Soltan under then
Care, and have since the said Prisoner was taken as to
Custody weighed it, and find that the same in deficient
in its Weight more than the amount of the Quantity
taken upon the said Prisoner Kirkham
