this 9th May 1781

First the Informant James Scott< no role > saint that being on First Street
Hill in the City on Monday Evening Last about Eight o Clock
and having in [..] each of his Hands a small bundle of Dirty
Linen two Great Coats and other things he met with a Person whom he does not know that he
askt him to help him up with the Bundly which were hear of
that he thereupon laid hold of the two Bundles which contained [..]
Dirty Linen and made of truth them whereupon Informant cried out
stop Theif That the Prisoner John Philip, was stopped the
Corner of Burchin Lane by the said other Informants John Carcy
[..] Daniel Nixon< no role > and that the bundles now produced [..] are
ye same taken from Informant on Fish Street [..]

The Informants John Carey< no role > and Daniel Nixon< no role > severally
say that being in Lambard Street on Monday Evening last
they heard the Cry of Stop Thief and seing the Prisoner Running
with the Bundles in his Hands which are the same that are
