Who being on Oath severally say
And First the said
John Cocker< no role >
for himself
saith, that Saturday Evening last, the said James
Cole informed him that there was somebody
in the
CellarDyehouse or consequence of which Informant went
into it, and Found the Prisoner
Patrick Norton< no role >
concealed in the Further part of the Cellar
Informant collared him and brought him up
Stairs, and asked him several Questions, to
which Prisoner in a seeming State of
Intoxication answeredSays, that having the
Suspicion of any bad purpose, he set the
Prisoner
at Liberty, but
Benjamin White< no role >
saying, he had some Silk, Informant desired
White
to following and bring him backSays,
that he has no doubt, the Silk now produced
is the Property of him this Informant.
And the said Benjamin White< no role >
for himself saith, that in pursuance of his
Master's Orders, he pursued and apprehended
the PrisonerSays he took the green Silk in
black Swan Alley
, near where the Prisoner
was taken
And the said James Cole< no role >
for
himself saith, that he was in company with
White, and saw the Silk upon the Ground
Taken and Sworn at Guildhall
