The Information of Jonathan Smith< no role > ,
of Plumb-Tree Street , who work for Mr.
Dickey of Carolina Street Bedford Square Middlesex Who, being on
Oath saith, that on Wednesday the seventh
Day of June Instant, he was at Holborn
Bridge some time between the hours of three
and five in the Afternoon, that he this Informant
saw Robert Smille the Prisoner now under Examination
in the Streetwithbefore Mr. Langdale's House< no role > , with a piece or Bar of
Iron in his hand which appeared to have been a part of
a railing or Pallisadoe before a House, and knowing the said
Robert Smille, he desired him to desist, and to lay down his
Iron Bar< no role > , and to go along with him, offering to treat him
with any thing if he would but desist, whereupon a Man
whom this Informant did not know came up to him and
ask'd him what Business he had with the man (meaning
the Prisoner Smille) on which he this Informant went about his business
and on his return from shoe Lane , he this Informant saw
the said Smille again, and that he the said Smille with
the rioters all about him went up to the Door of Mr. Langdale,
House, says that he this Informant went away [..]
and did not stay to see the Mob go into Langdales House
