severally make Oath as follows and first this
Deponent Hugh Griffiths< no role >
for himself saith That Thomas
Adkins and Gilbert Edwards< no role >
are as this Deponent is advised and
verily believes Material Witnesses for this Deponent in
this Prosecution and without whose Testimony this
Deponent is advised he cannot safely Try and Traverse
the above mentioned Indictment and this Deponent
Thomas Roberts< no role >
for himself saith that in Pursuance
of Notice of Trial duly given in this Cause he this
Deponent did on Wednesday the Fifteenth Day of this
instant July go to the last place of a Code of the Said
Thomas Adkins< no role >
in Hatton Yard near Hatton
Garden
with an intent to serve him with a
Subpana regularly and properly issued to give
Evidence on behalf of the said Hugh Griffiths< no role >
in
the above Prosecution intended to have been tried
at the now present Sessions of Oyer and Terminor
in and for the City of London
holden at Justices Hall
in the Old Bailey
but could not learn where the said Adkins was to be found nor was this Deponent by any means
able to serve the said Thomas Adkins< no role >
with such
Subpana notwithstanding this Deponent used his
utmost endeavors so to do and this Deponent
further saith that he did on the same Day go to the
House of the abovenamed Gilbert Edwards< no role >
