The Information of William Prescott< no role >
and Evelyn Pierpoint< no role > taken before me
this 9th. day of May 1772

Who being upon Oath says and first the said Evelyn Pierpoint
for himself says that at different Times great Quantities of
Cottons and Linens the property of the said Evelyn Pierpoint
and his Partner Thomas Thompson< no role > have been delivered to Messrs
John Gross< no role > and his Partner one Bedwell Callico Printers at
Garratt in Surry to be printed for this Informant and his said
Partner, and that great Quantities of the said Cottons and Linens
have never been delivered back to this Informant and his said
Partner, and the said William Prescott< no role > for himself says that
the said John Gross< no role > and the said Bedwell are both absconded
and that great Quantities of Goods which they had of this
Informant's and his Partner Richard Harris< no role > are missing,
and these Informants further say that they do verily
believe the said John Gross< no role > and Bedwell have stolen the
said Goods and that they have received Information and
do verily believe that considerable Quantities of their
Goods that were stolen as aforesaid are now concealed on
board the Vessel called the John Galley< no role > Ebenezer Symmes< no role >
Master now lying at or near Iron Gate
