Widow of the deceased maketh Oath & saith
that about half an hour after twelve of the
Clock of Friday last in the Married the deceased was led
home by one Simon Lloyd< no role > a Fellow Watchman
and on Depts. lating him in and seeing him bleed
both at the Ears and Nose Dept. asked him
what he happened to him to which hears wend
that he had been used very ill by five
villainous fallows who he knew not; he
then said O Hannah I fear I have had my
fatals makes to which Dept. replied, the
hoped not; says he cried out several times,
O my poor head, my poor head, and very soon
afterwards was [..] speechless and continued so
to the time of his death which happened on
Saturday Morning last at St. Bartholomew's
Hospital .

being made an Evidence on Behalf of the
Crown upon his Oath saith that about eleven
of the Clock in the Evening of Thursday last the
tenth inst. this Deponent in Company with

and Walter Stokes< no role > went to the Last & Sugar
Loafing Black fryars London kept by Mr. Newton where
they [..] Set a Beer and or Dram of Gin a peice says
that sd. As good at used Mr. Charles Duncomb< no role > then
present by treating him with very abusive language
and giving him a blow in his fore and alse vacated
Mr. Newton the Landlord with very abusive
language and struck him likewise: that Dept.
and sd. Asgoods Beer Aldridge and Stokes presently
afterwds. left the said House and went down the pound
Alley leading to Fleet ditch at the bott [..] [..] all the [..] stoped
