from her, and Dept. went down on her Knees
and took the deceds Head in her Bosom, and
said to Bell, I am affraid you have killed
the Women, to which she answered down
her Heretick Blood, speaking of the deced
as Dept. understood, [..] that Dept. and
another Woman helped the deced up to
a Seat, and put some Loaf Sugar into the
wound she had reced upon her Head, and
put one Handkerchief upon the Wound and
another upon her Head;saysDept. says that her
Mother Jane Hale< no role > taxed Bell with killing
the deced, to which she replyed I shall be
hanged and the Devil may care for that
says the deced was very fuddled, but Bell
appeared to be very Sober

Luke on his Oath Saith that about the Seventh
of December last [..] Dept. [..] apprehended Mary Bell< no role >
by Virtue of a Warrant for an assault upon
the deced, and on carrying the deced from
Hicks's Hall to new prison by a Comitment
Dept. taxed the deced with the Mischief she
had done to the deced, to which she answered
if she dyes, she must be hanged for it.
