For Felony

Richard Jackson< no role > of Trinity Lane London Furrier the
Prosecutor in this Cause maketh Oath and saith that he hath
many times Endeavoured to serve William Williams< no role > , one of
the Witnesses whose name is Indorsed on the Bill of Indictmt.
Preferred against the said Wm. Morrison< no role > with a Subpena
to appear on the Trial of the said Wm. Morrison< no role > at this present
sessions but this Deponent saith that the said Wm. Williams< no role >
who at the time of the finding the said Bill of Indictment
lived as a servt. to the said Defendants Wife has left that his Usual place
of Residence and Conseales himself so that he hath never been
able to serve him with a Subpena to appear against the said
Wm. Morrison< no role > notwithstanding he this Deponent hath
used his Utmost Diligence for these ten days past to find him
out in order to serve him with a Subpena, And he this Depo-
nent further saith that it is the Common Report of the
Neighbourhood where the said William Williams< no role > so lately
Resided, And this Deponent verily beleives such Report is
true that the said Wm. Williams< no role > who had been a Servt. or
is kept out of the way and Consealed by the said William Morrison< no role >
Apprentice to the said William Morrison< no role > (or his friends)
untill his Tryal should be over; And he this Deponent further
saith that the said Wm. Williams< no role > is a very Material Evidence
for this Deponent in Support of said Indictment and that he
cannot as he is advised safely proceed to the Tryal thereof
without the benefit of his Testimony and that he will
use his Utmost Endeavours to Compell the said William
Williams to appear held at the next sessions to give
his Evidence upon the Tryal of the said Indictment
