Middlesex to Wit.


The Information of Mr. Thomas Bliss< no role > Mercht . taken before me
this 25th. Day of March 1758

Who being on Oath says that he has known one Richd. Willm. Vaughan< no role >
about six Months; that the employed him as his Clerk about four Months;
that the said Vaughan made his Addresses to one Miss Ursula Bigges< no role > , who
lived in the House of this Informant, who was her Guardian; and says that
the said Miss Bigges has about three hundred Pounds to her fortune says
that he consented to the Marriage of the said Vaughan with the said Bigges
on Condition of the said Vaughan's securing in the hands of Tree stees the sum
of five hundred Pounds for her separate use. Says that Articles were drawn
accordingly by the said Vaughan's Direction and by [..] His Attorney, but
not executed; and that they were deliver'd to this Information for his approbation
says, that a few days ago, in a Conversation that passed between the said
Vaughan & this Informant, the said Vaughan told him, as a testimony of
his Affection for the said Miss Bigges, that he had given her Bank Notes
to the value of near three hundred Pounds, that the had bought or [..] ordered
to be bought, stock to the value of five hundred Pounds, (or Words to that Effect
which she might now take possession of
