taken before me this 24th. Day of
March 1758
Who being upon Oath Says, that a Person now present who calls himself Richd. Vaughan< no role >
came to this Informt. house, about Three weeks agoe, and brought three directions in
writing, one in the following Words, for the Govr. and Compr. of the Bank of Eng,
another directed to the East India Company the manner of which this Informt. does
not Recollet, and the third he does not Remember [..] any thing off, Says that the said
Vaughan desired him to make him a plate for the above direction to the Bank,
Says that he caused one to be made accordingly, and printed off a proof of the same,
and shew'd it the same Vaughan, when the said Vaughan directed this Informt.
to Change the R in the Word Govr. into an S. in the following manner
Govr. and Says that the proof of a direction now produced is the Exact Copy
of one of the Directions brought to this Informt by the said Richd. Vaughan< no role >
as aforesaid
