make Oath And first the said William Barriff< no role >
for himself
saith that being informed by the Deponent Bennett that
the above named Edward Hill< no role > This name instance is in set 3209.
had offer'd him a piece of
stuff to Sale on the Eighteenth of September last which
proving to be this Deponent's Property and stolen from
him by the said Hill his this Deponent's Porter He
together with the said other Deponents caused him to be
apprehended and had before the Worshipful Mr. Alder-
man Dickinson who after Examination was pleas'd to
committ him and bind this Deponent to prefer an In-
dictment & prosecute and give Evidence thereon at
this present Session And this Deponent further saith
that he accordingly attended the Honourable Court at
Guildhall
on Monday last together with the other
Deponents who were likewise bound in the Recognizance
to give Evidence against the Prisoner and caused a
Bill of Indictment to be preferred and found against
him for the abovementioned Felony. And this Deponent
further Saith he left his Dwelling house in Canon Street
Yesterday morning about half an hour after 9 oClock
(having several Goods to prepare for Shipping before he
set out) in Order to attend this Honourable Court and
give Evidence on the Tryal of this Cause and call'd at
