At the General Quarter Session of the City of London at
Guild Hall within the said City on Tuesday the Fourteenth Day of January in the
twenty fifth year of the Reign of our soverign Lord George the Second thing of Great
Britain Etc. Before Thomas Winterbottom< no role > Esqr . Mayor of the City of London Richard
Macus
< no role > Esqr . Recorder of the said City Sir William Smith< no role > Knt Stephen Theodore
Janssen
< no role > Esqr . Aldermen of the Said City & others them follows Justices assigned
to keep the Peace of our Said Lord the King with in the said City and aslo to hear
and Determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds Commited within the
said City.

Upon hearing the Petition & Appeal ofthe John Pistor< no role > an Inhabitant of
the Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate London Sitting forth that by a
Rate or Assessment made by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of
the said Parish for the relies of the Poor thereof he was Rated according
to the assessment of the Commissoner of the Land Tax Which the Petr.
for that & other reasons apprehends [..] to be unequal & illegal
And himself to be thereby aggrieved And this Court having taken the Premes
into due consideration and heard what could be there in followed by
Council & Witnesses as well on the Part of the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish as of the said Petitioner Where by it appearing
that the said Rate on Assessment was framed settled and governed by a Pound
Rate [..] according to the Rate and Assessment of the Land tax
and that the said Rate on Assessment appealed against by the
petitioner is unequal and [..] illegal It is thereupon
adjudged by this Court that the same Rate or Assessment ought
to be quashed vacated & made void and the same is hereby Quashed
vacated & made void according.
