Charles Massey< no role > of Clements Inn in the County of Middx Gen
Agent to the Soll. for the affairs of the Admiralty Navy
maketh Oath and saith That the Honble Comissioners of
the Navy having given [..] Orders for the Prosecution of
the above Deft. on account of Forgery this Deponent intended
to have brought on the [..] at the said Defendt. at the last
Sessions held at Justice Hall in the Old Bailey for the City of
London but was informed that the said Defendt. had made his
Escape out of he Majesty's Prison at [..] Newgate and
this Dept. further saith that he had no notice given him of
the Defendent's being retaken nor did this Deponent hear that
he was retaken till a day or two before this Sessions when it
was too late for this Deponent to prepare the said prosecution
and to bring the Defendant & his Trial this Sessions.
