Christopher Robinson< no role > of the parish of Saint Andrew
Holbourne in the County of Middlesex Gentleman Maketh
Oath That the prisoner was apprehended in Flanders in
Endeavouring to put off some Bank Notes or Bank Post Bills
which were taken out of the West Mail when it was robbed
on the Eighth day of February last as this Deponent is
Informed and does verily believe And this Depont further
Saith That he this Deponent by the Directions of his Majesty's
Postmar General went down to Bedford on the Twenty
Seventh day of March last past in order to apprehend
Vincent Mathews< no role > the prisoners pretended Husband on
Suspicion of being concerned in the said Robbery And this
Deponent further Saith that he was there Informed That
the said Vincent Mathews together with two or three more
Suspected persons were absconded And this Deponent
further Saith that there is great reason to Suspect That
the said Vincent Mathews or the said other Suspected person,
were concerned in the said Robbery either as principals
or Accomplices And that Warrants are now out to
Apprehend the said Vincent Mathews and the said other
persons and Strict Search making for them And this
Deponent does verily believe that before next Sessions
they or some of them may be apprehended which will
tend to a full Discovery of this Fact as this Deponent
does verily believe. And this Depont. further Saith that
this being a very Special Matter [..] cannot properly
be prepared during this Session.
