The King at the prosecution of the Court of
Mayor and Aldermen of the City of London
against

William Underwood< no role > of Southwark in the County of Surry Surgeon and Apothecary and Richard Beale< no role >
of Guildhall London Gentleman Severally make oath and Say And first the said William Underwood< no role >
for himself Saith that Mary Tannatt< no role > of Southwark aforesaid has for Some Weeks last past as this
Deponent is Credibly informed and verily beleives been out of Order And this Deponent Saith that he hath himself
attended her in the Way of his Profession for Some days last past and that She is confined to her [..]
by an Indisposition in her Head and Shoulder for which amongst other Remedies She hath within
these three Days had a Blister applyed to her And this Deponent Saith that he attended the said
Mary Tannatt< no role > this Morning and found her in a very Weak Condition And does verily beleive
that the said Mary Tannatt< no role > is incapable of attending to give Evidence on any Trial or to go
abroad without great Danger to her Health And the said Richard Beale< no role > for himself Saith
that the said Mary Tannatt< no role > is a Material Witness for the King in this Cause without whose
Testimony the Prosecutors cannot Safely proceed to the Trial thereof And this Deponent
further Saith that he this Deponent on Tuesday the Twenty first day of February instant
did Personally Serve the said Defendant Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. with Notice in Writing Purporting
that the Prosecutors did intend to move the Court as Yesterday or As Soon after as Councill could
be heard that the Trial of the Indictment in this Cause might be putt of to next April,
Session by reason of the Indisposition of Mary Tannatt< no role > a Material Witness for the King in this
Cause And this Deponent Richard Beale< no role > further Saith that the said Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. was
a Prisoner in his Majesty's Goal of Newgate (before the present Bill was found against her)
upon an Indictment for a Conspiracy upon which a Spiral Verdict hath been found And this
Deponent Saith that no Judgment to this Deponents knowledge or belief hath as yet been given
upon the said Special Verdict and the said Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. still remains in Custody for the
