The Jurors for our Lord the King upon their oath present that William Wolfe Weaver< no role >
late of London Butcher on the Second day of January in the Twelfth Year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Second of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of
the faith And at divers other times between the said Second day of January in the twelfth
year aforesaid and the Day of the taking of this Inquisition at London aforesaid in
the Parish of Saint Faith in the Ward of Farringdon Within Unlawfully and unjustly
had and kept One pair of false Scales which wanted in the Draught of the Same four
Ounces to make them of an Equal and due Ballance He the said William Wolfe Weaver
then and there well knowing the said Scales to be defective of their Equal and due Ballance
as is aforesaid with intent to deceive and defraud the Subjects of our Lord the King by
Selling to them Goods and Merchandizes by the said false Scales to the Evil Example
of all others in the like Case offending and against the Peace of our said Lord the King his
Crown and Dignity & so forth
