Who upon her Oath sayth That on the [..]
day of October last Charles Wallis< no role > of the [..]
Baily came to her about nine a Clock
night to Newgate where she was a Prisoner
in Execution at the Suit of one Gent) when
informed her that he came from Edward [..]
this Inft. Brother who was then at Sd. Wallis [..]
to Enquire of her this Inft. whether she had ever
given Thomas Bartlett< no role > as Promissary. Noat
for Ten Pounds ten shillings or did owe him
any Money or had any Dealings with him
and at ye same time told her that her Bro
would not [..] have her to be afraid [..]
own the Tenth for he would pay it if it [..]
Twenty Pounds, This Inft. sent her sd. Bratlett
word that As she was a living Woman she did
not owe sd. Bartlett one farthing and would
not have him to pay it nor had she gave
him such Noat or had any Dealings with the
Said Bartlett save only entring up a [..]
ment for which she this Inft. had paid further
Seventeen shillings And that if any such [..]
was produced it was a Forged Noat And
This Inft. further saith on Oath That the
now produced dated 28th. Augt. 1729 (of which
a Copy is in ye affidt. of Richard Constable< no role > ) [..]
Ten Pounds ten shillings is a Counterfeit Noat
wrote over her name And verily Believes
to have been torn off of a Letter she may be
wrote the hand writing of her Name being
her own hand writing And no other part of
said Noat Nor did she ever give Thomas Bartlett< no role >
the same or any other Noats And further saith
