Robert Hassall< no role > of the Parish of St Mary Aldermary Londn. Gent &
John Mitchell< no role > of the Parish of Sr. Saviour Southwark in the County of
Surry Carpenter Severally make Oath And first the sd. Robt. Hassall< no role >
Sayth that on Tuesday the twenty fifth day of this instant August he
went to the house of Mr. Castle Thorpe< no role > at the Swan & hoop Tavern in
Cornhill Londn. who is a Relation of Mr. James Cadwallader< no role > menconed
in this Depts. former affidavit And the said Mr. Castle Thorpe then informed
this Dept. that the said James Cadwallader< no role > lived on Endfield & house in the
County of Middx. but that the said James Cadwallader< no role > was then in
Yorkshire & had been in Yorkshire three Weeks before that time [..]
that it was impossible for this Dept. to Serve the Sd. James Cadwallader< no role >
with a Spa as menconed in this Depts. former Affidavit And this Dept.
John Mitchell< no role > sayth That yesterday the twenty Eighth day of this
instant August he went to the house of the abovesaid Castle
Thorpe & enquired of him if the said James Cadwallader< no role > was in
Londn. And the said Castle Thorpe then informed this Dept. he was [..]
Sure the said James Cadwallader< no role > was in Yorkshire & woud. not being
Londn. this fortnight yet and that when he was in Londn. he was
abeays at the said Thorpes house the sd. Cadwallader being a
Relation to the sd. Thorpe And these Dept. Robt. Hassall< no role > [..]
& John Mitchell< no role > both say they were informed by the Dept. Thomas
Hassall & verily believe that the sd. James Cadwallader< no role > is a
very material witness for the sd. Defendt. & without whose
Testimony the said Defendt. Cannot make a proper Defence
or with any safety take his Tryal in this Cause For that as these
Deponts. have been informed by the said Deft. That one John
Milton on whose Oath the said Deft. was comitted to Prison
gave his information that he received mony for & paid it to the
said Defendt. on the Sixteenth day of June last at a Coffee house
in the Strand whereas the said Defendts. doubts not but to prove by
the Evidence of the said James Cadwallader< no role > that he the said Deft
was not in Company with the said John Milton< no role > on the
said Sixteenth day of June or reced any mony from the
said John Milton< no role >
