This Examiant Saith That about Eight or Nine Months ago he
was a servant
to Mr. John Markarness< no role >
Post Master
at Chipping
Norten
in Oxfordshire
and that he did feloniously steale &
take out of his Dwelling House a Pair of silver spurrs &
a pair of Silver Buckles, and saith that one of the said
spurrs he sold to a Goldsmith next to the Bullhead Tavern
in Smithfeild
London for the some of Nine Shillings, and
the other spurr he sold to a silver smith next Door to the
Sign of the Pelew Coat Hospitall
in Smithfeild
a foresaid
for the like same of Nine Shillings, which said money
so rewer and aforesaid was Divided into three parts between
him this Exaiant, William Higginbotham< no role >
& John Hinchman< no role >
Share & Share alike and said that he sold the said Buckles
to a Cobler in the Burrough of Southwark
for three Shillings
& Six pence wth. was like wife Shared amongst them in
three parts as aforesaid.
