maketh Oath That the said Deft. Elizabeth Hornby< no role > als Edwards being apprehended
in or abt. the beginning day of March last pass for feloniously marrying Edward
Hurst
< no role > (her former husband Kendrick Edwards< no role > being alive) she was carryed before
Richard Newton< no role > Esqr . our of his Majties Justices of the peace for the County of
Middx before whom she give security for her appearance at Justices hall in the
old Bayly London at the then next Session of Gaole Delivery of Newgate to
Answr. the Premisse But allho an Judictmt. was then prferred and found agt. her
she the said Elizabeth Hornby als Edwards< no role > did not appear for that her Recoging
was Forfeiled since wch. the prosecutor hath used his atmost Endeavonrs to apprehend his
but could not Find which she was concealed or abconded And this Depent. further
saith That being informed the said Dept. intended to Appear at this psent Sessions
of Goals Delivery of Newgate to this Depont. was requested to Enquire for
Mr. Edward Daws< no role > in order to gett him to appear us our Evidence for the King on
the tryall of this cause this day and this Depont. accordingly Yesterday went to
the dwelliing house of the said Mr. Edward Daws in the Parish of St. Giles's wth. out
Cripplegate whom this Depont. was informed that the said Mr. Daws way not in
Towns and that it was instant on what day [..] he would return from the County And this
Depent. further Saith That the said Mr. Edward Daws is a Materiall Evidence
for the King on the try all of this cause and that the Prosecutor (as he is assigned and
veryly believes) cannot Safely proceed to tryall therein wth. out the said Mr. Daws's
Evidence
