The humble Peticon and Appeal of John Jeffryes< no role >
Sheweth
That Your Petitioners is Deputy Keeper of the Poultry Compter
Situate in the Parish of St. Mildred in the Poultry
in this City and for
his own Private use and as a dwelling for himself Family he rents
a House contiguous to the said Compter for which he pays after the
rate of Eighty pounds for And rent But now so it is May it please
your Honr. Worsps that the Church Wardens & Overseers
of the poor of the said Parish of St. Mildred in the Poultry hard
for some Years last part and for the last Year 1722 Rated the said
John Jeffeyes the Yearly some of Eight Pounds

the Relise of the poor of the said parish wch. is more in Proportion by
the Yearly Summer of five pounds than the rest of the Inhabitants of
the said Parish do pay for House of the same Rent of Eighty Pounds

Wherefore and for that Yr. petitioner Humbly
Conceives himself aggresived by the said Rater Assembler
made for the said Year 1722 doth most humbly appeal
to Yr. Honr. of Worpps therefrom
And prays that Yr Honr. Worpps will be pleased to hear him
the Premisses and Order that the Church Wardens and Overseers
the Poor of the said Parish may Appear before You to hear and also
the Judgement of Determination of Yr. Honr. of Worpps touching
this Appeal
And Your Petitioner as in Duty bound Shall Ever Pray Etc
