To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. Olave in Silver street
London, and the Churchwardens and
Overseers, of the Poor of the Parish of St. Dionis
Back church London respectively.

WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Olave in Silver street
London, That Sarah Lane< no role > Singlewoman is lately
come into
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge-
able thereto by reason of her Poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said Sarah Lane< no role >
that upwards of twenty years ago she was bound an
Apprentice to one Anne Sease< no role > als Sice< no role > in Lime street in
the Parish of St. Dionis Back church London and lived with
her as such for the Space of one year & three Quarters or
thereabouts & by any means whatsoever hath
not obtain d: any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said Sarah Lane< no role >
to be in the said
Parish of St. Dionis Back church London and
that thitherto she ought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re-
quire You to remove and convey the said Sarah Lane< no role >
from and out of your said Parish of St. Olave in
Sliver street London , to the said Parish of St. Dionis
Back church London and her leave with ye Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for her
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the fourteenth
Day of September Anno Domini 1721 .
