Whereas at the genall Quarter Sessions of the Peace held for this
Cityheldat ye guild hall thereof on Monday the 10th Day of July last
Upon reading the severall petitions & Appeals of the Company of Glovers
London & of Mordeca Knight< no role > , Wm Weeks< no role > , Edward Percivall< no role > John Holdway< no role > ,
Edward Ashworth< no role > , Wm Hall< no role > , John House< no role > , James Savin< no role > , James Favlett< no role >
Richard Marshall< no role > , Wm Folbigg< no role > , Joseph Holmes< no role > , Thomas Haynes< no role > , Mathew
Trent

in the Parish of St. Giles without Cripplegate London Complaining of
the unequality of the poors Rates made upon them & also their being
over charged in their person all Estates It was ordered by that Court that
the farther hearing the severall Petitions & appeals should be adjourned
till the next Sessions of the Peace to be held for the sd City & that the sd
appellants in the mean time should have the Liberty to peruse the several
Books of the Poors Rate & Land tax of the sd Parish wherein they were
overrated & Charged as they alleged in their petitions in the presence
of the Churchwardens & overseers of the Poor of the sd Parish &
that the sd appellants should deliver to this Court a particular
account of the Names of Such Persons as were overrated & assessed
as also of such who were omitted to be rated & assessed being of
ability & ought to pay towards the releif of the sd Poor
And it was further ordered that the sd Matters then in difference
between the sd Appellants & the Churchwardens & overseers of the Poor
of the sd parish in reference to the severall Rates or Assessments should
remain & abide as then they Stood without further trouble to the said
Appellants till the sd Severall appeals then depending should be
determined by the next court at the next Sessions of the Peace as
aforesaid Now upon motion this Day made by the Sollicitor for the
Churchwardens & Overseers complining that the account of the
names of such persons as are overrated underrated or omitted
to be rated had not been delivered to him whereby he might
prepare reasons to lay before this Court to support such Rates or assessment
& praying that the further hearing of the sd severall petitions & Appeals
should be adjourn'ed till next genall quarter Sessions to be held in & for
the sd City the same was by this Court ordered accordingly & It was
further ordered that the Appellants do seaven Days before the next
genall quarter Sessions to be held in & for the sd City deliver or cause to
Be delivered to the Sollicitor for the sd Churchwardens & overseers a
particular account of the names of such Persons who [..] are overrated
& underrated as also of such who are omitted to be rated & assed being
of ability & ought to pay towards the releif of the sd poor And to enable
the Appellants so to do It is further ordered that the Collectors of the
Land tax for the sd Parish do permitt the sd appellants or their Sollicitor
to peruse and takeCoppy out of the sd Land tax Books for the years 1720
1721 the Names of Such percons and the Sumes of money charged upon
them as are overated or underated as aforesaid
