The Informacon of Maudlin Davis< no role > Singlewoman taken
upon Oath this fifth day of January Anno Dui 1716

who Saith that about Six weekes Since She became a [..]
hired Servant to Mr. Robert James< no role > a vintner at the Rumers
Tavern in Chancery Lane in which Service She continued
about three weekes & then left the said Service without
any warning That being acquainted with a woman who
goes Sometimes by the name of Margaret White< no role > & Some
times by the name of Margaret Wells< no role > who whilest this
Informant was in the said Mr James's Service came Sevrall
times to her Masters house insomuch that her Master
took notice of it & asked this Informant who She was but
this Informant denied that She had any knowledge of
her That after She left the said Mr. Jamess Service
the Said Margaret White< no role > als Wells< no role > came Several times
to this Informant & told her it was an easy matter to
Rob the said Mr James asking her where he kept his
money & where he & his wife lay to which thisInformt

replyed that the money was kept behind the
Barr where he & his wife lay (That during this InformantsDepont
Service wth the said Mr James She would have
had her sett [..] a Silver Tankerd of the said Mr James
in a place where the dishes are washed where She the
Said Margaret White< no role > als Wells< no role > might easily carryedit
off That on Sunday the thirtieth of December last
this Informant & the said Margaret White als Wells
was together most part of that day & about nine
of the clock at night by the advice of the said
Margaret White als Wells they went to Bell yard
on the backside of the said Mr James's house where
the back door was open & they passed through the
said house without any notice taken & went on
the other side of the Street where they mett wth a
a boy called William Fletcher< no role > as She hath been since
Informed being an acquaintance of the said Margaret
[..] White als Wells that after Some discourse
between Margaret White als Wells & the said Fletcher
