Whereas Complaint hath been this day made unto us two
of her Majties Justices of the peace for the City of London
and Libertis thereof (Quorum unus) by the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Andrews In
Holbourn is the City of London aforesaid that Elinor
Lane
< no role > widow of William Lane< no role > wills William< no role > aged there
years Elizabeth< no role > aged one year and halfe her two Children
are come lately into the said parish; endeavouring to Settle her
self and Children in the said parish contrary to Law and hath
not gained a legall Settlement in the said parish and it
appearing unto us the said Justices That she sd. Elinor Lane
and this children are likelys to become Chargeable note the
sd. Parish of St. Andrew in holbourn And where as it
also appeare unto us) he said Justices by the Examinacon
on Oath of the said Elinor Lane that he said Husband
Served an apprenticeship by Indenture in the parish of St
Gregory by St. Paul in the City of London [..] Mr. Edward
Cloathworker

Sett Comt. appearing unto wh: we the said Justices doe therefore
doom and adjudge that she last Legall Settlemt of the said
Eliner Lane< no role > and two Children above named as in the Parish
of St. Gregory [..] St. Paul in the City of London

These are therefore in her Majties name to Willand require you
the Church wardens and OverSeer of the poors of the parish of St.
Andrew in holborne in the City of London for same on one is
you forthwith to remove pass and Convey the said Elinor Lane
William and Elizabeth her two Children from yor. parish
unto the parish of St Gregory bye St. Paul in the City of
London and them herewith the Churchwardens and Over
seers of the poor there or Some or one of them who are he [..]
Repaired to Receive and provide forth [..] as the Laws
Directs and this shall be yor. Warrant Given under our
hands and Seals this Thirteenth days of August
ano dui 1713

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Respective parishes of St. Andrew
in Holbourn in the City of London and St
Gregory by St. Paul in the said City of London }
