The Examination of John Dayley< no role > taken
before me this 23th day of January 1712

This Examinant saith That he fell acquainted with
one Jane Roberts< no role > Mrs Crosse's Mayd about two
months agoe, And [..] the 13th day of this
instant January the said Roberts came to this
Examinants Lodgings at Mr Guintours near
Doctors Comons,that day& this Examinant
& the said Roberts then agreed to rob Mrs
Crosse of her plate & other Goods, And the sd
Roberts advised this Examinant to come that
Evening to Mrs Crosse's house for that purpose
This Examinant accordingly went the same
Evening with one James Skamell< no role > to Mrs. Crosse's
house where the said Roberts was ready &
accordingly let this Examinant & the said Skamell
into the house, & after they were in the sd house
the Street door was Shutt of this Examinant or the sd Roberts which was between
the hours of seven & eight at night, Then
Skamell went into the Kitchen & this Examinant
went into a [..] Room up one oath of stairs And the said
Roberts brought & layd upon a Table one
silver Tea Kettle of France one Silver Coffee
Potts one Silver Tea Pott a Silver France for
Castors & Crewytts & the Castors & Crewytts in it
a Shaggreen Case wth thirteen Silver knives Guilld
& severall Forks & Spoones therein alsoe guil's
and divers other peices of plate of a considerable
value and alsoe Parcells of Linnen & Cloths belonging to Mrs Crosse And
this Examinant & the sd Roberts put the Plate into
a Baskett which Skamell carryed away. And the
