Joseph Short< no role > Esqr . One of her Maties. Justices of ye Peace for ye County of
Midds Saith That abt ye begining of December last She went together
wth Mary Pit< no role > her Sister abt. five or Six of ye Clock in ye Evening to the
house of One John Jenkins< no role > in St: John Court in ye Parish of St:
James Clerkenwell in ye County of Middx & that ye sd John Jenkins< no role >
being abroad while this Informt: was talking wth his ye sd John

< no role > wife A woman & whose name as this Informt: remembers is
Ann Watson< no role > coming in ye sd Mr: Jenkins askt her where ye sd John

< no role > her husband was, who reply'd that he was gone wth A
woman abt: ye Scarved Whereupon ye sd Mr. Jenkins falling
Suddenly into a passion said God not them, they will draw my
husband in to be hang'd And this Informt: further Saith That
in a short time after she this Informt: & her sd Sister being ready to go away
ye sd. Mr: Jenkins invited them to dine wth her at her sd house upon
of Sunday seing At then next following & that accordingly they
on both dine there upon ye sd Sunday & after Dinner & sd undr: Jenkins
askt this Informt if [..] She wanted A Furbelow'd Scarf herself, or
[..] could help her to any Customers to buy Some & thereupon
carry'd [..] this Informed her sd Sister up Stairs into her Bed Chamber
at there shou'd them severall Furbelowed Scarfes some of wch:
were of Velvet & others of silk & told them that she had them to
sell
