Whereas Daniell< no role > Hannah< no role > & John Kent< no role > the Children of Dixey Kent< no role > late an Inhabitant
in the parish of WalthamStowe in the County of Essex are likely to become chargeable to the
said Parish And upon complaint made to this Court by Thomas Browne< no role > the unite of
the said three Children And alsoe of the Churchwardens of the said parish in this matter
whoe declared That the said parish had not expended any moneyes or beene att any
charge in respect of the said three Children And here now attendging That Elizabeth
Kent
< no role > widdow the Grand mother of the said Daniell Hannah & John Kent< no role > now dwelling
in the Parish ofwithin the City of London is of Sufficient
ability and should att her owne charges releive & mainteyene the said children in
such manner and according to such rate as by his Maties. Justices of the Peace in their
Quarter Sessions shalbe [..] in such behalfe According to the [..]
& provided Now upon hearing the said Elizabeth Kent< no role > the Grand mother & her Councell
& severall witnesses moore in her behalfe relating to the estate of the said Dixey Kent< no role > decd
and of the insufficiency of the said Elizabeth Kent< no role > to be [..] to pay towne & maintenance
of the said three Children as aforesaid All which being duely considered of This Court doth [..]
That the said Elizabeth Kent< no role > is of sufficient ability to releive & mainteyne the said three
Children whereuppon Itt is ordered by is Matyes. Justices in this Prsent Quarter
Sessions of the peace That the said Elizabeth Kent< no role > be assessed and doe pay and allow to
the Churchwardens of the said parish of Waltham Stowe for the tyme being the house of
Twoe Shillings a weeke weekely for & toward the keeping & mainteyning of every of them the said Daniell
Hanus & John Kent in the said Parish for soe long tyme As They or any of them shalbe [..]
to the said Parish
