Who being Examined Saith, That a little before
Whitsuntide last, in an afternoon, this Examint came
to the shop of Mathew Bibby< no role >

, ye St. Bibby's Appentice
& this Exaiants Knisman And at that time (unknown
to ye sd. Appentice) this Exaiant took out of ye
shop ten Ells of Holland, which he offering to
sale at A slop shop in Ratcliffe high way

Milliners wife, hiring agt. ye slop shop, observing
him, came over to him, & prsending he had no
Lycense to sell it did seize ye sd. Holland &
Shee deteins it And further this Exaiant doth
confess, that on thursday last in ye afternoon
in ye take manner he took out ye sd, Mr
Bibby's shop two & twenty yards of Blew Scoth
Clvly (yere being none in ye shop except ye
sd. Appentice, & A Little Boy) which ye same
Evening he sold at A slop shop in Rosemary
Lane
for twelve Shillings
