The humble Petition of the Churchwardens & Overseers of ye
Poore of the Parish of St. Buttolph without Aldersgate London

Sheweth

That yor. Petrs. are very Poore And not able to raise sufficient Sumes
of money amongst themselves to releive them Notwithstanding their
Assessements are greate then heretofore Yett the charge of their Poore
is above their said Assessement told the same upon full Examinacon
hath many times Appeared to divers Aldremen of this City appointed
to heare the same And their Poore dailey increaseing upon them the
said Parish lyeing in the Suborbs of the City.

Their humble Suites therefore to yor. good Honors. & Worpps. is
that you will be favourably pleased to grant unto them the
Contribution of £15. from other Parishes wth. in this City
for & towardes three haveing their Poore As they have formerly
had by reason of their greate charge & number of Poore Or
such further a Allowance as to yor. Honors. & Worpps. shall [..]
seeme meete.
