The humble Peticon of the Churchwardens & Overseers of
the Poore of the Parish of St. Katherine Coleman London

Sheweth

That yor. Petrs. Parish is scituate wth. in Algate And are not able to
raise sufficient sumes of money amongst themselves to releive their
Poore Notwithstanding their Assessements are greate And the
Charge of their Poore is above their said Assessement As the same
upon full examination hath appeared to divers Aldren of this City Appointed
to heare the same and their Poore increaseing upon them And haveing
many Allies within their said Parish.

Their humble Suites therefore unto yor. good Honors.
and Worshipps. is that you wilbe favourably pleased
to grant unto them the Allowance of £12. from other
Parishes within this City for & towards the releiveing
their Poore As they have formerly had by reason of their
greate charge & number of Poore Or such further
Allowance As to yor. Honors. & Worpps. shall seeme
meete.
