[..] Exaiant sent for ye said Sara Arnold< no role > , and haveing
gotton ye Keyes of her Lodgings from her sister went and searched
her lodgings wth a Constable but found nothing there Materiall,
and then came back and delivered her keyes and [..]
first for them to the Bull head taverne intending to carry
them from thence before Sr Robert Jefferies< no role > , and left them
in the Custodie of the said Ireland and his Freind whilst
this Examint: went before to see if Sr Robert were upp, it
being almost eleven of the Clocke, and if he were gon to
been then this Exaimnt: intended to speake to Sr Roberts

< no role > that they might be secured in the Counter untill
the next morneing, but as Ireland and his freind were
bringing them towards the said Sr Roberts house whether
designedly or not this Exaiant knoweth not they lett them
Excape, thereupon this [..] Exaiant went home being
much concerned at theire Escape and the next day sent
the said Wallis to see if her could find her but could not and
sent him againe on Munday last but could not finde
them, but this Examint: saith he was afraide to goe into
the Fryers to seeke for them least he should have some
Mischeife there it being Noised abroad that this Exaiant
had searched her roome, but intended to have Seized her
this Morneing and to have carryed her before a Justice
And this Examint: further saith that the Money none
produced is Pte of the money wch he tooke away from
the said Sarah Arnolds< no role > Sister as aforesaid, but ye remainder
of it is lost this Examint: haveing a hole in Coale pockett
and it being in a loose browne paper it Slippt through
and this Exaiant further saith that at ye same time he seized
upon the said Sara Arnolds Sister five penny worth of
Counter feite halfe pence and the said Peter Wallis< no role > in
formed this Examint: that ye said Sara or some freind
of hers for her Coyned Counterfeite halfe pence, as well as Clipped
money And when the said Sara and her sister were in custodie
at ye redd cross aforesaid they offerred divers times, that if this
Examint: would lett them goe, the money he had taken from
them should be his none.
