Margarett Atkinson< no role > maketh Oath, that on Fryday night last
about Six of the Clock in ye Evening, she came out of South-
warke wth Sara Arnold< no role > her sister and were goeing to Billings-
gate to pay one John Kirkham< no role > a Fisherman for Fish & Oyster
wch the said Sara had bought and this Depont: goeing a little
before her said sister and haveing [..] one and twenty
pounds seven shillings and six pence about her, at the
turneing of St Magnes corner was seized upon by Thomas
Cooke
< no role > and another Manthewho told this Depont: the must
goe wth them and they carryed her to the signe of the Rodd
Cross by the water house nere London Bridge , and as they were
thrusting this Depont: into the said house, the said Cooke putt
his hand into this Depont: apron Pockett and tooke away
the said one & twenty pounds thereupon this Depont: Cryed out and
said what doe you intend to Robb me to wch he answered
noe yoy Bitch, but I charge you wth high Treason and
thereupon carryed this Depont: into the house, and there the said Cooke
Searched downe this Deponts: Back and about her leggs and
then sent for the said Sara Arnold< no role > who he had left in ye
Custodie of two men, and when she ye said Sara was come they carryed
this Depont: and her up staires and asked for the key of ye said
Sara Dore wch she [..] this Depont: haveing at her besome
delivered to him, then ye said Cooke ordered two of his Compain
(viz) one Ireland and Mathewes, to keepe this Depont:
and ye said Sara Safe untill he retorned againe and in ye
meane time ye said Cookes went and searched the said Sarah Lodgings
in White Fryers , (as ye said Cooke said at his retorne) and whilst ye
said Cooke was gon, ye woman of ye house would have had a Constable
called, but ye said Ireland swore that he was a Constable him-
selfe and none other should be called and when some shopp
keepers came into the roome they asked why a Constable was not
called, the said Ireland replyed there was noe occation for it
because it was onely an arrest upon ye young woman, and
when the said Cooke came back from searching ye Lodgings as
aforesd, he Sent up Faires to have the prisoners meaneing this
Depont: and her said sister brought to the Bull head Taverne, and
thither [..] they were carryed and kept untill betweene Eleven & twelve of
the Clock at night and then the said Cooke prtended to carry her and
her said sister before Sr Robt: Jefferyes< no role > , and [..] said he would goe
before, and Ordered his Companions to bring this Depont: & her
sister after him, and alsoe ordered this Deponts: said sister to pay
