Who was Andrew Tomlins< no role > and Joseph Tomlinson< no role > and William Plumer< no role > and Thomas Yates< no role > by an order of ye
Court of Aldemr Dated the thirtieth day of August last where appointed to [..] d to ye regular demeaner
of hackney Coachman and to keep up ye streats of this City and Libties from being perfered with ye, standing
and plying of anexpresiveexcessive number of hackney Coaches therin according to ye intent of A late net of Common
Councell made in that behalf and that they should be admited and sworne Constables for their better
Enablemt: to Discharge that Service which was done accordingly and for as much as I am informed that
not onely dirver persons driveing such hackney Coaches as are licenced and appointed by the said act doe
frequently poster and Annoy ye Streats by standing and plying with their Coaches and horses otherwise
then is by the said act allowed but that likewise great numbers of other persons driveing hackney
Coaches for hire not licenced or Appointed by ye said act doe also dailey pester and annoy the said
Streats with their Coaches and horses to ye great Obstruction of all Ports of persons passing to and fro
in ye Streats of this Cyty and Libties and thereby Often times Quarrels same to ye manifest be oath of
their Maties peace and stand all to ye Govermt of this City there are theirfore in their Maties Nashes
Strictly to Charge and Command you and every of you fouth with upon sight hereof from time to time
as you shall have notice to Apprhend the bodies asallsowell to fall such [..] Lawned hackney Coachmen who shall poster or
annoy the Said standing by standing or plying otherwise with their Coaches and horses then is allowed by ye
said act as allso of all other hackney Coaches who you shall find posteing or annoying ye said the
with their Coaches and horses andbringthem bring before me or any other of their Maties Justices of ye pence
within this City and Libtise to be Exaisd and dealt with all according to Law and this shall be your Halls
Dated and Given under my hand and Seale this one and thirtieth day of October anno Din 1692
