The Examinacon of Elizabeth Gold< no role >
the wife of John Gold< no role > , of the Pish of
Cripple Gate taken this 26th. day
of August 1693

Who sayes that about afortnight last past
she mett with Mr. Powell in Barbican, and as
the request of this Examt. he went along wth
her, to her husbands Lodings being at Mr
Their bornth house where the said Powell
Stayed for about an houer and this Examt. Payes
that her husband did then pay to Powell Eight
Shillings which she beleives was for his share
of seme [..] goods or other thatthatPowell &
her husband had stole; And this Examt. Payes
that on Satterday was seavenight last past
about 12 of the Clock at night, the said
Pocoell & her husband, and are other man
whom she knowes not did Robb a Charriot
at Isleington , being a Genlemances that lives
over against the new River , and Stripped
the lyneing out of the same Charriotts And this
Examt. sayes that powell and ye other man
Cheated her husband of his share, which has
occationed Powell, to Charge this Examt. [..]
Clapping , which she is inocent of, And this
Examt. sayes that Powell before they went to
Robb the Charriott did tell her husband that
hee had a Dub in her Pockett meaneing a
faulse key, to open the doore with
