to Mr Jarvis taken upon oath this 31th. day
of January 1692

Who sayds that the Prisoner whose name in James
Gardiner< no role > and Stanford, came to her Masters house
the Wednesday before last session, and asked if that was
not Mr Jarvis, and she told them it was, and they told her
that they were come of ye water, and were cold and
desired her to give them a quarterne of strong water
and they Drank ye water and smoked to bacon in the shopp
and stanford asked her if they had not a back yard, &
she told him they had, and the sd stanford went into ye
yard and stayed sometyme, craveing Gardiner in
the shopp, and presently after went away and on fryday
following a Bay of Clippiner Etc were found in the qurd
