The Informations of William Sword of Ritcliff Highway
in the Parish of Saint Geo. Middlesex in the County
Manner John Smith< no role > of Vergina Street in the same
Parish and County Marrinor and Mary Dring< no role > of Ratcliff
HIghway Spinster Take upon Oath before me Robert Smith< no role >
Esquire this 26th day of November one Thousand seven
Hundred and Eighty Nine.

And first the said William Sword for himself saith on Tuesday last between
three and four o'Clock him the afternoon he went into the Ship and Composer Public
House in last him the Field and called For a pot of Beer that he was very much in
Liquer and while [..] Drinking the said Beer he was Robbed of a Green Purss (mended at
each and with while thread) one Half Guina in Gold and two Shillings in silver
but by whom he dose not Know but by hear say. and lastly says the purss
produced is the same he was Robbed of as above Slated and is his property

John Smith< no role > Says on Tuesday last between three and four o'Clock in
the Afternoon he was in the House of one Mr. Guinea in Brush Alley near
the said Pubic House that the Prisoner (who says her Name is Mary Ann
Short
< no role > ) and the said William Sword came in together with a not of Beer which
he thanks the prisoner brought in she asked him if he would Drink he took
it and drank, when she desired her to put it to the fire which he did, [..] that he
see her take a gree purss out of Swords Waistcoat pocket they drank up
the Beer [..] and Prisoner and Sword went away together that Sword and
Prisoner are both Strangers to him and when he saw her take the purss
out of his Pocket he though she was his Wife.

Mary Dring< no role > says on Tuesday last between four and five
o'Clock in the afternoon she came into the said Public house where she
see the Prisoner that soon other she came in Prisoner came up to her put
the purss produced into her Hand and desired her to Barn it
