The Information of Richard Davis< no role > taken
on Oath the 16 th. day of November 1789 before
me one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex

Who Saith That last night between Seven and Eight
o'Clock as he was going after Moor field in the Parish
of Shoreditch to Saint Luke , Chiswell street , he
having a Link alight in his hand a Boy come
running after him and overtook and catched hold of
his Cloaths twice and a third him he catched hold
of this Informant by the Arm with one hand and
with the other hand he Picked out of this Informant
Pocket a Shirt which was clean for him to put
on at his Master upon which this Informant was
much affrighted and Hallowed out Murder and
Thieves and the boy then ran away with the
Shirt in his hand and Informant then called out
stop thief And Further Saith That John Keys< no role >
now under Examination is the same boy who
stopped and Robbed him of his Shirt as aforesaid
and a Shirt now produced by John Armstrong< no role >
a Peace Officer is the same Shirt that was
Stolen from his as aforesaid And is the Property
of his Father [..] William Davis< no role >
