The Information of Edward Berry< no role > of Shukeepers Walk in the
Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell in the said County Sawyer
Taken before me One his Majestys Justices of the peace in
and for the said County

Who being on Oath Saith that he is Employed as a Sawyer by Mr. John
Clark
< no role > Steward of Blackwell Cooper, and that on Friday night he together
with George Pyke< no role > , & Robert Slunghter Coopers and David Berry< no role > another
Sawyer all of whom an Employed by said Mr. Steward, received
Instructions from John Allison< no role > the Foreman to Watch their masters
Premises, they having lately been Robbed of several [..] Quantities of Hoops
That between Eight and Nine O'Clock the same night he with said Pyke Slaughter< no role > and
David Berry< no role > were in the Shopsitting together when they heard One
of the Shop Windows Wrenchd open, where upon they all agreed not to
move until they heart more house, Saith that on about a Minute
after they heard the Ratting of some James Hoops, when they all went to
tha place from whence the Noise processed, but found no person there
but in a very Short time after he heard a man come in at the Back door
and ye to the place from whence the noise had first produced when he
Immediatly Fired a Gun at him and by the Light which proceeded from the Flash
in the Pan of the said Gun, he discovered the Person of the Prisoner
now present who Says his Name is John Thompson< no role > whom he
ColluredandSecured, and with the Assistance of Pyke [..]
and David Berry< no role > tookhimto the Watch Horsd.
