Evening being at the same house about Six o Clock he met
with Briggs and Jervais when Briggs asked them [..]
if they meanttheto Carry the Ten pieces of Callicoe
buried in the field as aforesaid to London that night
this Informt said he coud not for he was Engaged to
go to Martin in Surry which he Jervais and four
Men set offfortogether and left Briggs there with
that Intent but did not go any further than the Gun &
Hatty Bush in Back Lane were they Stayed untill about
Twelve o Clock at Night and then he and Jervais vent
to the House of Elizabeth George< no role > in the said Lane
and Stayed there untill about Eight o Clock on Sunday
Mondaymorning when each of them went to their
friends in Surry, That on Monday Evening about
Six o Clock he went to the White horse at Oldford and
there met, Goldsmith, Briggs, and Hoy When
Goldsmith and Briggs told him that on Sunday
night they had removed the whole of the Ten pieces
(of Callicoe) mentioned to have been buried as aforesd
form that [..] place to the next field but two
and had taken three pieces out of the Ten and the
other seven they had buried in the ditch and that
the three pieces of Callicoe they had brought to
London and sold for One Guinea and a half
and gave this Informt. Six Shillings and four pence
as his share and Jervais the same Sum that
afterwards this Informt Briggs, Goldsmith Jervais
and Hoy went to the place where the other Seven
pieces were concealed and took five and then
all came away together for London and got there
about Eight o Clock when, Goldsmith, proposed to go
to a House in East Smith filed) but which he cannot
tell and sold the said five pieces for three Guineas
Briggs receiving the Money and then went to the Blank
horse Tower Hill and shared thirteen Shillings and
Six pence a piece and went all away together home
That on Tuesday right about Six o Clock being at the
White Horse at Old Ford with Jervaih Gold smith
and Hey they Informed him that they were going then
to take the Two pieces of Callicoe which they had left
behind as aforesaid in order to sell it but refused to go
and went home to bed that on Wednesday at Noon
being at Work
