of his Majesty's Justices of the
peace acting in and for the said
County this 26th. day of March 1788

Who being duly Sworn severally upon their
Oaths say and first this Inf. James Damerain< no role >
for himself south that he his Coachman to Mr.
Chambers at No. 31 Norton Street Marylebone and
that the Coach time and Stables he Occupied one
situate in Wimpole Melow in the Parish Vzt.
Marylebone wherein this Infr. also slept that on
Sunday the 9th. or 10th. of February last in the Afternoon
between four and five O'Clock he put up his Coach
and Horses in the said Coach house & Stables
and did what was necessary that he left the
same [..] at half past five O'Clock having first
pastened the Coach buse and Cooper the Stable door
that about half past ten O'Clock he returned to
the said Stables When he found both Coachame
and Stable Door wide open he then thought the
Stables had been robbed and upon Examining
found that there had been taken and carried
away One Drab Box Coat One Surtaint Drab
Great Coat Two Blue Lway Coat lined with
Yellow One Brown Coat One New Pair of
Boots One Old pair of Boots and two Sheets
that this Informant upon Examining the lock
of the Stable Door verily beleives that the same
must have been entered by means of a false or
a Picklock they and this Infr. further saith
he well know the power now present who
calls himself James Willanghby that he [..]
Mr. Chambers before this Inft. was lined to
him that he had not seen him for same
time but saw him in the said Mew's about
half past five on that Day and Drank some
Gin and Water with him at a home the
Corner of the said Mew's where they panted
and this Informant further saith that
the three Coates now produced by the other Jufts
Richard People and James Pople< no role > are a part
of the Property taken and Carried away in
the said Stables and were all in the room where
this Infr. Kept at the time he left the said
Coach time & Stable
