The Information of Richard Twydall< no role > and
Richard Hincksman< no role > Taken the 29th: day of January
1787

Who upon their oaths several say and first the said Richard
Twydal
< no role > for himself Saith. That about 2. oClock this
afternoon a Woman came into his Masters Shop and asked for
same Handkerchiefs and bought Two one at Fifteen pence
the other at Eighteen pence which She paid him for and gave him
Five Shillings to Change and after giving her the Change she went
out of the Shop and then he Counted the Handkerchiefs as she
was going out and Missed Two Parcells one Containing Eight
and the other Twelve directly he Missed them he went to his young
Master who stood at the door and told him this Woman had Stolen
Two Parcells of Handkerchiefs and they both went after her
and told her they Missed Two parcells of Handkerchiefs and
then they turned up one side of her Cloak and there saw the
Twelve Handkerchiefs which his Young Master took from
her and then they brought her back into the Shop and the Woman
[..] at other Eight Handkerchiefs from under her Cloak and
Threw them on the Counter That the Handkerchiefs more [..]
no are the property of his Master Mr. Roberts Hincksman< no role >
of High Holborn Linnen Draper , the Same that were Stolen
as aforesaid and are of the Value of Thirty Shillings and
that the Woman Says her Name is Mary Walker< no role >
and that his Young Masters name is Richard Hincksman< no role >

The said Richard Hincksman< no role > for himself saith
That the above named Informant Came to him as he was
Standing at the Shop door the time the said Mary Walker< no role > went
out of the Shop and said She had Stolen some Handkerchiefs
and he followed her with Twydall about 10 Yards and Stop'd [..]
her and said he wanted to Speak with her and he then put he
Cloak on one side and took from her Twelve Handkerchiefs
(which are now produced) and then brought her to the Shop That they
are the property of his Brother the above named Robert Hincksman< no role >
and are of the Value of Twenty Shillings
