Shillings and eleven parce as aforesaid That
this Informant replied he would and gave said
Pwrnell the difference amounting to Two Pounds
Sixteen Shillings and five pence That after
giving said Purnell the said Two Pounds
sixteen Shillings and five pence this Informant
observed to said Purnell that he hoped the Bill
would be paid when said Purnell replied that he
would as soon give this Informant the Cash as the
Bill if he had it or words to that office That said
Thomas Purnell< no role > then put his Name as an
Indorsement on said Bill of Exchange which now
appear That on the following Morning this
Informant presence the said Bill Exchange at
the Banking House of the said Messts Smith
Wright and Gray in Lombard Street where he
was informed that no such Person as Benjamin
Adams
< no role > the drawer of said Bill of Exchange
kept leash with them nor did they know
any such Person
