Richard Hartley< no role > of Wolbock Street Smith
and Thomas Marvin< no role > Coachman to Garret

before me this 12th. day of November 1787

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said
Joshua Holmes< no role > for himself saith that about nine o'Clock
in Friday Night last he cleaned his Harness and locked
them up in a Harness Room in his Masters Stables in
Mortimer Street that about tea Minutes Past six o'Clock
on the next Morning he found the Harness House broke
open and a pain of Harness two Bridles two Saddle
Cloths a Saddle Bridle and that taken away and
this Informant Further Says that the pair of Harness
and the Bridles now produced are the property of his
said Master and an the same that was stolen as
aforesaid And the said Robert Lockhart for himself
Says that about ten Minutes Past eight o'Clock on Saturday
Night he saw the Person now Present with calls himself
John Claw< no role > in Company with the Person now Present who
calls himself Charles Berkley< no role > in Martin or Street
tying up the Harness now produced That saw Berkley
had the Coach Bridles now produced upon his Shoulder that
Informant said to said Claw you been cleaning
Your Harness when said Claw replied Yes and said
he was going to take them home That Knowing Mr.
Harborls Harness had been Stolen he Suspected it
to be the same and followed them when he met
said Richard Hartley< no role > and desired him to assist in
apprehending said Claw and Berkley which he
